Be curious, Be you …

I create unique clothing and accessories blending nostalgia and style using up-cycled vintage tea towels and fabrics. One-off joyful clothes are brought to life from forgotten treasures. Three cheers for Grandma’s bottom drawer!!!

I embrace sustainable, well-constructed fashion with a blast of colourful history. Every garment tells a story of travel, family and curiosity, bringing the past into the present.

Bespoke commissions upon request.

The studio:

I am a designer and artisan hailing from South London, specializing in crafting distinct clothing and accessories. I delight in working with materials that possess a rich history, tell stories and exude unapologetic joy.

As an avid collector and lifelong sewing enthusiast, the birth of The Curious Edit felt inevitable. I collaborate with Bernie, my cherished industrial Bernina-950 sewing machine.  Bernie, much like myself, is a product of the 1980s, but with enhanced speed.

With each item made I aim to preserve the tea towels and linens used. I do not cut linens unless they are damaged and instead choose to workaround any wear and tear.  For example, a kaftan skirt will contain eight complete vintage tea towels which in theory could be unpicked and transformed into something else in the future. This concept embodies my eco-conscious approach to slow, unique and up-cycled fashion

It is with great pride I guarantee that every item made is entirely one-of-a-kind, meticulously edited from my extensive collection of fabrics. Attention to detail and the art of hand-sewn finishing is a paramount part of my work.
